[Under Construction]

Web Changes

This is where we'll announce the most recent additions to our web site. If you've visited us before and want to know what's changed, take a look here first.

We've moved our studio! After ten years in Glenmoore, on the side of a busy highway, we've moved to our new location in our newly converted barn. The new studio gives us plenty of space and light to work by and no where near as much noise from traffic. We're closer to Philadelphia than ever before (only 20 minutes from King of Prussia/Valley Forge). If you're in the area and want to visit, give us a call and set up an appointment.

Our site has changed web hosts. We found that during the last few months we have not been receiving all the information requests that people have been making. Our web host was unable to resolve the problem. Consequently, we have changed hosts and we are once again receiving information requests. If you have sent a request and have not received a reply, please send it again. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
We've expanded the site again. We've added some new chairs, tables, highboys, lowboys and a corner cupboard. Click over to our Contents page and check them out! We made it again!

Once again we've been chosen by Early American Homes for their Directory of Traditional Crafts. This directory is juried and published annually. For the eleventh straight year, we've been chosen as one of the top two hundred craftspeople in the country!

Ok, give us a couple of years and we'll finally get this computer thing figured out! Check out the Contents page. We've added nearly two dozen links to individual pages of furniture we've made. Over the next couple of weeks the numbers should grow significantly, so check back often! We're feverishly working on our tutorial page! We hope to have photos and text about the construction of Eighteenth Century furniture available shortly. Check in regularly as the tutorial page will change every few weeks. We'll explore construction and the fine points of Eighteenth Century furniture.

If you have a question about a piece of furniture, or would like to just say hello, email us (Lorraine just loves getting email!) cbender@acanthus.com or furniture@acanthus.com
